Driving careers in education: the TÜV SÜD Foundation’s Germany Grants (Deutschlandstipendium) scheme supports academic education for ambitious students. The current cohort of grant-holders attend the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and OTH Amberg-Weiden University of Applied Sciences.
The grants are awarded to students who achieve excellent results in their studies as well as showing outstanding personal commitment in social issues. High marks are a given, but so is willingness to accept responsibility, or a track record of successfully overcoming personal and educational obstacles.
All Deutschlandstipendium grants are a joint partnership, with half the funding provided by the government and half by the TÜV SÜD Foundation. Grant-holders receive funding for one year irrespective of their income. The financial support provided by the scheme allows the talented young students to focus their attention on gaining their academic qualifications.
