Education is the key to an independent and successful future – particularly, and primarily, for young people from disadvantaged families.
The Talent im Land – Bayern (Talent Statewide – Bavaria, TiL) grants scheme provides support to gifted and committed students facing challenges due to their social background as they aim for their secondary school leaving qualifications (Abitur).
TiL is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Culture and receives support from the TÜV SÜD Foundation. Alongside financial assistance, the scheme offers the young participants extensive care and support in the form of an educational programme of seminars, study days and study travel, all aimed at creating fairer educational opportunities.
TiL is open to students from year 10 upwards attending secondary school in Bavaria and aiming to gain a higher education entrance qualification to universities or universities of applied science. The grants are awarded to students who achieve excellent results in their studies, but also show motivation, commitment and social engagement.
