Two new educational projects at Zukunftsmuseum – Museum of the Future in Nuremberg support students at Realschule und Gymnasium secondary schools by providing career guidance. The structured programme of the projects gives in-depth insights into scientific and technical training and study courses.
The two projects, “Labor AG” and “Ready-to-study?”, are held in the Visitors’ Laboratory of the Deutsches Museum Nuremberg. On one afternoon per week, attendees can perform experiments under supervision, acquiring practical experience of laboratory tasks in the process. The programme enables them to explore their personal strengths and develop a realistic perspective on potential careers.
The weekly sessions are supplemented by visits to companies and universities in the Nuremberg metropolitan region that combine practical and theoretical courses. This combination provides young people with a solid foundation for deciding whether to embark on STEM careers or studies, and for making optimum preparations for their future.
