Supporting the next generation of aerospace engineers – WARR Rocketry

Rocket project provides students with practical experience

WARR Rocketry e.V., a nonprofit organisation at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), provides around 400 students with the opportunity to develop, build and launch their own experimental rockets. In the process, they gain specialist technological expertise and hone their management skills.

The “Wissenschaftlichen Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Raketentechnik und Raumfahrt” (Scientific Rocket Technology and Aerospace Workgroup, WARR) focuses on aerospace systems designed from start to finish by the students in the categories of rocket engineering, satellite engineering, scientific experimentation and space robotics.

The teams regularly enter international competitions and gather valuable practical experience. To ensure many more successful starts can be carried out, the TÜV SÜD Foundation is supporting the “Nixus” and “WESP“ rocket projects.

With its close links between theory and practice, WARR Rocketry e.V. is of interest to both students and industry, as the cradle for a new generation of highly qualified aerospace and engineering specialists.
